Map

This map lets you explore the parish boundaries and some of Kennington’s main areas for wildlife. See also the Sites guide page.

Read this first: This map displays best on a tablet or larger screen: some key features may not show on a smartphone. Click the DIsplay map legend icon to display the map legend – you can then use the tick boxes to hide or display different features of interest. Also you can zoom in for a closer look, or click in an overlay area to display a brief description (if that doesn’t highlight the area you want, click outside the parish boundary and then try again). To display the map full-screen, click on the icon.

Important note and disclaimer: I made these map overlays for illustration only. This is not an authoritative map. I hand-copied the parish boundary from a current District Council map (see http://maps.whitehorsedc.gov.uk/gis/?cat=PAR&ref=KEN). I traced areas of interest from the current Google satellite map. Any boundaries shown may not be correct.
Most land in Kennington Parish is privately owned – please use only public rights of way unless you have the owner’s permission. Bagley Wood is owned by St John’s College, and members of the public are permitted to walk only on ‘stone or mown’ paths, as stated here.
